Starting a blog… it can’t be that hard, right? Well let me back up.
It’s been suggested by more than a few people I start a blog. I have thought about it for a while now and hey, no time like the present! Or, no time like six months down the road from when I made the decision to when I actually start typing.
Before we start, it’s important for you, the reader, to understand my brain and thought process a little bit. I say a little bit because if you understand it too much, you may fall down the deep dark hole that happens to be my way of life. There is one man, who understands a little too well. He discovered how deep and strange and completely nonsensical my existence is and still decided to pick me as his wife. After two kids, one of which is a tiny version of me, his understanding has only gotten deeper. It’s either his understanding or his ability to just nod his head and smile, I like to believe it’s his understanding.
Best way I can describe it would be the dog from the Pixar movie, UP! He has some special voice box thing that allows you, as a human, to hear his dog thoughts. It’s a super cute movie that will make you cry in the first ten minutes but I promise, stick with it. It’s not all bad. Anyway, this dog, has a super short attention span and is easily distracted, yelling squirrel!
It’s been suggested by my husband, love of my life, that I also am easily distracted. He uses the term “squirrel-ed” and I have proved him right, once by an actual squirrel. A simple example would be if I tried to tell him I saw a cat today. Should be simple, right? Just a quick, “Hey, I saw a cat today. It was orange.”
However, it normally comes out in a hot mess of confusion.
But, now that I think about it, I did see a cat yesterday! We moved to Texas recently, and the day we moved in, I saw a cat. It wasn’t the same cat I saw yesterday though. That one was orange and fluffy and reminded me of my beloved huge kitty George when I was growing up. My first cat was name “Ki-Ki” because I couldn’t say kitty-kitty.
Annnndddddddd down the tunnel we go. Remember, this is about me starting a blog. I’ll get to that later…..
